About Us

Sophie Collier

Sophie is a Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Doctor at the Royal Free Hospital since 2010. Her particular areas of interest are managing and preventing infections in renal patients, also OPAT and chronic infections, such as diabetic foot and implant infections. Sophie is also one of the Deputy Directors of Medical Education for the Trust and takes a special interest in education, pastoral support and overall well-being.
She has been involved in the Trust reconfiguration to manage the COVID pandemic from the start, from educating teams about personal protective equipment to managing COVID positive patients.

Jonathan Collier

Jonathan is an experienced consultant Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon working both privately and at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. During the COVID pandemic he led the team performing high-risk aerosol generating procedures on infected intensive care patients. Consequently he understands the critical importance of operating in a well-fitting, comfortable mask that offers maximum protection.

Michelle

Michelle originally trained as a medical nurse in Prague. Since arriving in London, Michelle retrained to work as a dental nurse in busy West End practices for a total of nine years. More recently, Michelle has extended her skill set in include assisting in Maxillofacial surgical procedures at both NHS and private hospitals. During the COVID pandemic, she has witnessed firsthand the importance of well-fitting PPE in order to protect patients and health care workers.

Shani

Venshani is a Foundation Year One Doctor, having recently graduated from medical school at King’s College London.  Immediately after graduating Venshani started her career working in the Critical Care Unit at St. Thomas’ Hospital to help with the Covid-19 pandemic.  Here she witnessed first-hand the importance of not only having and wearing appropriate PPE, but also how essential it is to don and doff this protective equipment correctly.  Venshani is highly experienced in mask fitting and making sure these masks are properly tested to ensure a full seal and maximum protection when working in aerosol generating environments.
